Betrayed by the faith!

Death is a certainly a word that terrified all living souls. However, it is bitter fact that no matter how much hate it one day all of us have to embraced it. Some decide their own fate and taken their own life but mostly the death strikes silently. For me the extreme pathetic way  to die while visiting the places of your religious belief then crashed to death in front of the God of your trust. Throughout the world every year there are hundreds of people dying while visiting the religious places. Mostly of these death occurs either by stampede or due to fire. In India  we had many such incidents and also witnessed one recently during on going Kumbha Mela. Most of the cases the organizers should be blame for the tragedies. Administration should always prepare for such large gathering to prevent it happen again and again. Some of the worst stampede incident that occurred in different part of the world.

India

Uttar Pradesh

Allahabad, 3 February 1954 : A stampede that occurred in 1954 at Kumbha Mela in Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh on the main bathing day of Mauni Amavasya, when the incident took place. It was the  first Kumbh Mela after the Independence. About he figures for the tragedy varied according to different sources. It left, more than 800 people dead and over 100 injured.

Allahabad 3 February 2013, during Kumbh Mela, a stampede broke out at the train station in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India, killing 36 people and injuring at least 39.

Pratapgarh, March 4, 2010 : At least 63 people were killed and 35 injured in a stampede after the entry gate of an overcrowded spiritual ashram in Pratapgarh.

Maharashtra

Nashik August 27, 2003  : A stampede broke out at the Kumbh Mela at Nashik near the holy Godavari river. The accident claimed 40 lives and injured 125 devotees who had come for holy bath during the Kumbh Mela.

Satara January 26, 2005 : During a religious fair at Mandher Devi temple in Satara district of Maharashtra, a stampede killed 350 people and injured 200 devotees.

Nagpur, 23 November 1994 :  Stampede occurred at Nagpur, India in which 114 people from the Gowari community were killed and 500 more injured.

Himachal Pradesh

August 3, 2008 : Over 160 people were killed and several injured in a stampede at the Naina Devi temple in Himachal Pradesh.

Uttrakhand

Ujjain and Haridwar, 15 July 1996:  stampedes refer to two human stampedes which occurred in Ujjain and Haridwar killing 39 and 21 hindu worshippers at respective places.

Haridwar, November 8, 2011 : The Stampede at the shrine in Haridwar claimed 22 lives near the river Ganga on .

Rajasthan

Jodhpur, ptember 30, 2008 : A human stampede occurred on , at the Chamunda Devi temple in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, in which 249 people were killed and more than 400 injured.

Kerala

Sabarimala 14 January, 1999 : Stampede that occurred at Sabarimala temple on the Makara Jyothi Day, 53 people died in the stampede.

Sabarimala, 14 January 2011: A stampede occurred on  Makara Jyothi Day during an annual pilgrimage, killing 106 pilgrims and injuring about 100 more. It was the second occurrence of such incident in same place.

Saudi Arabia,Mecca

Millions of peoples visit Mecca for Haj and most of the stampede death occurs during stoning of the Devil ritual.

July 2, 1990 : A stampede inside a pedestrian tunnel leading out from Mecca towards Mina, Saudi Arabia and the Plains of Arafat led to the deaths of 1,426 pilgrims, many of them Malaysian, Indonesian and Pakistani of origin.

May 23, 1994 : A stampede killed at least 270 pilgrims at the stoning of the Devil ritual.

April 9, 1998: A least 118 pilgrims were trampled to death and 180 injured in an incident on Jamarat Bridge.

March 5, 2001: Thirty five pilgrims were trampled to death in a stampede during the stoning of the Devil ritual.

February 11, 2003: The stoning of the Devil ritual claimed 14 pilgrims' lives.

February 1, 2004: 251 pilgrims were killed and another 244 injured in a stampede during the stoning ritual in Mina.

January 12, 2006: A stampede during the ritual ramy al-jamarāt on the last day of the Hajj in Mina killed at least 346 pilgrims and injured at least 289 more. The incident occurred when a busload of travellers arrived together at the eastern access ramps to the Jamarat Bridge. This caused pilgrims to trip, rapidly resulting in a lethal crush. An estimated two million people were performing the ritual at the time.

Human lives, one or many is always matter but there are many incidents related to stampede  in a religious place.

Kid Story! The Menace in the Campus!

After going through three different schools, finally I was settled with one only when I migrated to Jammy (Jamshedpur). Two different schools in which I studied in Jammy were exceptional. Specially life in my last school was unforgettable one. The surrounding, the teachers and being a part of a naughtiest gang, I mean my friends circle, Nostalgia!. It was not all fun and no study, I was reasonably good in my studies and that probably made things better because the last one was your ticket to the teacher affections. During my seven years tenure in two different Jammy school I never have seen a teacher who needed a stick to discipline the student. Sticks were never found a place in our classroom. Not all of us were a saint but the credit goes to our teachers and their extra-ordinary patience. Until today, I never failed to pay my gratitude to those angles who once enlighten my life.

Today when I looked forward to today’s school I can see the miserable state it is in. Most of the teachers are not going to school for teaching rather working as a marketing manager for themselves. They go to the school for selling their services that they giving back at their home or in other coaching center. Often their message to the parent is very clear and parents too preferred the same to find an easy way escape route from their responsibility. Therefore, it is unwise to solely blame the school or the teaching staff. Today’s kids too partially accountable for the situations. I cannot say the kids are the lone sufferer, they are taking most advantage from these situations. They are getting more and reluctant to give back. Tolerance, patience is the word that does not exist in the dictionary of today’s kid. However, situation in Indian education institutional campus are not as grim as USA and Europe but it is a fashion for the young Indians are to follow the west and some recent past events in the campus are seems very alarming.

Kolkata, South Point School

With twelve thousand odd students, South Point counted as one of the largest school in Asia. It has a history of numerous petite campus violence but most alarming when it was happened between two classs I students.

The school authorities conceded that a fight had broken out between two six-year-old. “They fought among themselves, like young children often do. We had also called the parents to solve the issue. We did not anticipate that the parents would lodge a police complaint. We will inquire into the matter,” said a school official.

However, the parents have different story to tell, “The bullying has been going on since April, when my son was admitted to Class I. My son was beaten up regularly, even with iron rods at times,” said the boy’s mother. My son was beaten up so badly with a water bottle that he had to be given first aid at school. We also had to take him to a doctor.

New Delhi

An eighth-grader stabbed an 11th-grader in the shoulder and chest at Central School No. 1, a government school in New Delhi. The victim, a boy named Rahul, said he was trying to break up a fight. "Some kids were fighting and I just went there to stop them. Suddenly one of them turned around and stabbed me even before I could realize," said Rahul, wrapped in gauze bandage. He underwent minor surgery.

Gurgaon

Gurgaon is famous for score of negative things which I have already written in my earlier blog. A 14-year-old boy was fatally shot by two other boys in a hallway of the upscale Euro International School in Gurgaon, a suburb of New Delhi, police reported. One of the boys sneaked his father's gun into the school, wrapped in a sock. According to police, two students took turns shooting Abhishek Tyagi, 14, in a school hall. He died with two bullets in his chest and one in his head, news reports said. The two boys are being held in juvenile detention.

Madhya Pradesh

In a replay of that crime, a 15-year-old student at a government school in the state of Madhya Pradesh was shot dead by a 17-year-old classmate. Police said the assailant used a homemade handgun.

CHENNAI

Class IX student of a Chennai school stabbed his teacher to death inside the  classroom itself. The cause is given by the police as that the boy was under pressure after the teacher repeatedly sent adverse remarks to his parents. The student, son of a customs clearing agency employee, repeatedly stabbed his Hindi teacher Uma Maheshwari.

Parents investing  exuberant every amount on their child for better future but often return is nix. If you are getting more then you are bound to give back more. Blaming on the pressure you cannot take a ride an one-way traffic.

Use & Throw!!

This package certainly comes with lesser responsibility and greater freedom. Sounds better while using an object that never comes with any extra baggage. When first time I started using a piece tissue paper, I was happy that I had done with the age-old hanky. Every time I used to venture out with a hanky I knew that it was for the last time I was seeing it, I lost a dozen every month in those hanky days. I am sorry for starting with a ridiculous example for today’s topic. This use and throw objects are not another tissue paper that cost me a few bucks but it is all about human beings better known as fairer sex. These events were happening since ages and we never aware of it. Sometime the victim who has to bear the social stigma than the culprit, now due to excessive media interpretation, we are getting a little light on these shameful happenings. Talks about women freedom goes to kaput when you look at the current series of events. Everyday and every corner of the world women are abused, raped, sold, killed and treated like an object. The treatments are very much like a use and throw objects. Some of these recent events show that government is either not determine or not capable to solve the problems.

Betul, Madhya Pradesh

A 15 year girl picked from the house by a local goon and then raped her, finally the mother was killed by the same for going to the police. On February 10, Imarti's daughter - a class eight student - was allegedly kidnapped by local gangster Rajesh Harore and raped. She was apparently specifically targeted as she refused to join a prostitution racket. In 2006, Imarti's elder daughter had been kidnapped and sold into prostitution, allegedly by the same gang. The 50-year-old tribal woman Imarti Bai shot dead before her family. A few days before her murder, Imarti approached the district collector with a written plea for protection. This was forwarded to the superintendent of police, but nothing happened as Imarti died unprotected.

Noida (UP)

The 17-year-old girl was raped in a moving car by five men on Friday night on Delhi's outskirts when the victim, a student of Class X, had gone with them to a birthday party of one of the accused.  Not enough, the men in Khaki in UP is famous for its notoriety, they gone ahead with disclosing the identity of the victim in public. 

Kolkata, West Bengal

On the night of February 5, the victim was at a pub at Kolkata's famous Park Street. A man who befriended her at the pub offered her a ride home in his Honda City. When she climbed in, there were two men in the car. But soon, another three entered the vehicle. She was raped at gunpoint. The victim filed her police case a few days later, on February 9. She says she had been traumatised by the event and needed some time to recover before going to the police with her story. The victim, who is 37-years-old, alleges that the police mocked her when she tried to get a case registered. Officers allegedly used the fact that she had been at a pub to judge her character. Above all, Mamta Banerjee done her job too only what she does best, uttering rubbish and blaming the left.

Pune, Maharashtra

An BPO employee raped and murder in 2007. Jyoti Chowdhari, 22, was traveling in her company's pick-up cab on November 1, 2007, when the driver Purushottam Borate and his friend Pradeep Kokate raped and then brutally killed her. Purushottam Borate had reportedly picked Jyoti from her home at 10 pm for her night shift at the call centre, situated at Hinjewadi area in Pune. According to reports, the driver was joined by his friend Pradeep Kokate in the cab. Jyoti's body was found next day in Gahunje a Pune village. They had cut her blood vessels in the right wrist and thereafter they threw a stone on her head, and then strangled her. A few days back, both then man was sentenced to death by a Pune court.

It is shame on civilized world that mostly ruled by the man.  From mother womb to the end there is no respite for women insight.

Encounter?

One of the hardest jobs is to come up with an appropriate name for a thing. When I decided to start a blog for my mediocre photography I decided to name it ‘Shot At Sights’ but my blog for today had no link to it, it is stands for what actually is meant for. However it is not ‘Shot At Sight’ but ‘Shoot at sights’. Often it is the motto for the men in Khaki. I knew a very nice South Indian family from Mumbai, the daughter was  a dear friend of mine but the son was real pain for the couple. Once he was arrested for his association with the underworld. Before I returned to Kolkata I tried to give him some advice and requested him to mend his way for his parents. During that time he narrated how police often threatened and made them to believe that they would be taken to a  dark alley and then to a cold storage. So, the word ‘Encounter’,  mostly the truth and reality lies with the men who have the loaded gun. It is unfair to say that all encounters are fabricated but some .. may be…. god knows.

Encounter

An encounter  is a euphemism  used in South Asia especially in India to describe extrajudicial killings in which police or armed forces shoot down suspected gangsters  and terrorists in gun battles.

Fake Encounter

A fake encounter or a "staged encounter" happens when the police or armed forces kill the suspects in custody or when the suspects are unarmed, and then claim that the victims were killed in a encounter when the police had to shoot in self-defence. In such cases, the weapons may be planted on or near the dead body to provide a justification for killing the individual.

Daya Nayak

There are famed police officials who became famous only being an encounter specialist, Daya Nayak is one of such. He rose to fame for having eliminated more than eighty gangsters of the Mumbai underworld as a member of the Mumbai Encounter Squad, which was created by the Maharashtra Government for tackling the increasing problems of underworld extortion, gangwars, and a terrible law and order situation. Before suspended from his duty, during his tenure, he amassed huge of property. Being an ordinary sub Inspector with Mumbai Police and an encounter specialist, such prosperity is impossible unless the fund came through the other world rather underworld.

Bumping in Cold Blood

In 2006,  Pintu Mishra, described by the police as a small-time criminal, was “bumped” off  in Allahabad because of his terrorists’ links.

In 2007 an 18-year old boy, Abdul Rehman, was killed in Srinagar by the security forces for being hand in glove with the Jaish-e-Mohammad.

Sohrabuddin Sheikh

In the wee hours of 26 November 2005, Sohrabuddin Sheikh was gunned down by the police on the outskirts of Ahmedabad. The Gujarat Government claimed that he was a member of the Lashkar-e-Toiba and was on a mission to kill Chief Minister Narendra Modi.

Batla House Encounter

Batla House encounter is still haunting the government is officially known as Operation Batla House, took place on 19 September 2008, against suspected Indian Mujahideen (IM) terrorists in Batla House locality in Jamia Nagar, Delhi, in which two suspected terrorist, Atif Amin and Mohamed Sajid were killed while two other suspects Mohd Saif and Zeeshan were arrested, while one accused Ariz Khan managed to escape. Encounter specialist and Delhi Police inspector Mohan Chand Sharma, who led the police action was also killed during the incident.

Ishrat Jahan

The Ishrat Jahan encounter case refers to the encounter killing of four people claimed to be Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) operatives by the Ahmedabad Police Crime Branch in 2004. The victims included Ishrat Jahan Raza, a 19-year old college girl from Mumbai, and three men: Pranesh Pillai , Amjad Ali Rana and Zeeshan Johar. Multiple judicial inquiries by Indian authorities, in 2009 and 2011, concluded that the encounter was fake, and the victims were killed in police custody.

Blood Money!

‘Blood’ and ‘Money’, both words are related to in many ways. All money we earned in our life, considered to be the same as “Blood Money”. Of course only if it obtained by putting lots of hard work and honesty. Heaps of water pass over our head while putting two and two together to make out a decent life and every decent life needs adequate funds. I consider my money whatever I earned by sweating days and nights is the money that made while churning out of my blood, therefore, I am having a few of those. However, generally the words are always not meant for a noble cause. If we go through dictionary then we will find two different meanings of it. First one when money given as the fees to a hire a killer to kill some one, in India it is also known as Supari. Other one, in some cultures, compensation paid to the relatives of somebody who has been killed or murdered and for me both are crime and not different from each other.

I am not against any community but when a dear one killed by someone and then I decided to pardon the accused by accepting money is gruesome as good as  sort of kidnapping, killing and walking with ransom money. Apart from Muslim countries, it legal in Japan, Korea and Somalia.

If we turned back to out history then, in the Christian Bible, the term is used to refer to the thirty pieces of silver Judas Iscariot receives in exchange for revealing the identity of Jesus Christ to the forces sent by the Pharisees and/or the Sanhedrin. After the crucifixion of Christ, Judas returns the payment to the chief priests, who took the silver pieces and said, ‘It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood’.

I am going to put two recent incidents and both happened in our neighbouring state, where first case it was an American and other case seventeen Indians citizen were involved.

Pakistan

Raymond Davis the American CIA Agent, shot dead two men in Lahore, he insists that he was acting in self-defence against a pair of suspected robbers, who were both carrying guns. Raymond Davis has been the subject of widespread speculation since he opened fire with a semi-automatic Glock pistol on the two men who had pulled up in front of his car at a red light on 25 January.  Pakistani authorities rightly charged him with murder, the Obama administration has insisted he is an "administrative and technical official" attached to its Lahore consulate and has diplomatic immunity. However,  finally he has been released after families of the two Pakistanis he killed 'Pardoned' after Blood Money  Payment, the amount has also been a matter of some speculation.

Sharjah

On Mar 28, 2010, the Sharjah Court had pronounced the death sentence on the 17 Indian nationals, who were accused of killing a Pakistani named Misri Khan in Jan 2009. Seventeen men, 16 from Punjab and one from Haryana. The victim, himself was a  bootlegger, he was killed during a brawl due to problem between two groups. Dubai based hotelier S P Singh Oberoi who played most crucial role in arranging and paying blood money and negotiating with the family of the deceased which was earlier adamant on the "revenge". The money paid to the family was equivalent to Rs 9 crores.

I feel, Pardon is sacred word and ability to Pardon is a great human quality that should be unconditional.

Bottom Line: If, an Indian killed by seventeen  Pakistanis, the judgment  would have been nothing sort of this.

!!!Word pardon cannot come in a package containing words like revenge, faking and conditions.!!!

Golden Voice and Troubled Mind!!

Life is learning process but it is sad that there are no place where you can learn Success Management. Tasting success at a very early stage may be satisfying but mostly it is too dangerous and disastrous. In the case of many celebrities life, it is natural for those who tasted success very early but never able to cope with it. When we look at the top level, there are quite a few name will queue up in the memory. Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Boy George, George Michael, Britney Spears and Whitney Houston. Sometime it is loneliness at the top and more often they succumbed to the horrid lifestyle their own. Whitney Houston, when she arrived she looked like a little angel with great persona and enormous talent but her end came with very unlike than that should be.

Whitney Houston

Whitney Houston was born in a middle class family in Newark, New Jersey, the third and youngest child of Army serviceman and entertainment executive John Russell Houston, Jr. and gospel singer Cissy Houston. Her mother, along with cousins Dionne Warwick and Dee Dee Warwick and godmother Aretha Franklin were all notable figures in the gospel, rhythm and blues, pop, and soul  genres. After the 1967 Newark riots, the family moved to a middle class area in East Orange, New Jersey when she was four.

At the age of 11, Houston began to follow in her mother's footsteps and started performing as a soloist in the junior gospel choir at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, where she also learned to play the piano.  Her first solo performance in the church was "Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah".

Debut

Houston's debut album Whitney Houston was released in February 1985. Rolling Stone magazine praised Houston, calling her "one of the most exciting new voices in years" while The New York Times called the album "an impressive, musically conservative showcase for an exceptional vocal talent".  At the 1986 Grammy Awards, Houston was nominated for three awards including Album of the Year.    She won her first Grammy award for Best Pop Vocal Performance, Female for "Saving All My Love for You". At the same award show, she performed that Grammy-winning hit; that performance later winning her an Emmy Award for Outstanding Individual Performance in a Variety or Music Program.

Film and Disastrous Marriage

With the commercial success of her albums, movie offers poured in, including offers to work with Robert De Niro and other famous actors but Houston felt the time wasn't right.  Houston's first film role was in The Bodyguard, released in 1992 and co-starring Kevin Costner. Houston played Rachel Marron, a star who is stalked by a crazed fan and hires a bodyguard to protect her. USA Today listed it as one of the 25 most memorable movie moments of the last 25 years in 2007. She was married to  R&B singer Bobby Brown and having a daughter named Bobbi Kristina Houston Brown.

Sorry State and Sad End

A day before  her death, Houston visited singers Brandy and Monica, together with Clive Davis, at their rehearsals for Davis' pre-Grammy Awards party. Times reported that Houston was reeking of alcohol and looked very bloated and disheveled, wearing mismatched clothing with her hair dripping of either water or sweat. During  rehearsal, Houston was seen skipping around the lobby or wandering aimlessly around the hotel ground. At one point guests of the hotel reported her behavior to security after she was seen doing handstands by the hotel pool. Houston attended a party that evening held by Kelly Price and a scuffle was narrowly avoided with singer Stacy Francis. Houston attempted to raise her hand, but was calmed down. Later in the evening, Houston gave what would be her final onstage performance when she took to the stage along with Price for a one minute performance of "Jesus Loves Me". Houston was photographed leaving the club clearly intoxicated and with scratches and blood stains on her legs, of unknown cause.

On February 11, 2012, Houston was found dead at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, in Beverly Hills. she was pulled out of her bathtub ‘unconscious and unresponsive’ and she was pronounced dead a hour later.

My perspective is totally different, I always consider those old bad days are the glorious moments of my life because those are the days that made me stronger. What is life if we have never struggled for something and a goal is worthless if it comes easily. Born with a golden spoon was not a thing that I ever desired. Among the passing phases, everyone has their own favourite and worst to choose from. Nevertheless, the phase we left behind during our schooling days will come out as clear winner as the best phase of ones life.

My school days are considered to be the golden times of my life. It was a big close knit family and I have no words for my teachers. Those bunch of dedicated women, who used to come to the school to  teach and obviously we were there only to learn. Decades gone over but for me still my teachers are the driving force that are  generating the burring desire for my learning passion. Let me look little to one of the oldest and respected profession of the world.

India is a country where once teachers were respected as per God. The believe was based on the text from available old stuffs. If we believe those textual substances then Balmiki was considered to be one of the greatest teacher who ever lived in this earth. Today I am going to put some names of the teachers who glorified this noble profession.

Socrates

Socrates was educators, philosophers, politicians and scientists all over the world acknowledge that Socrates was one of the most enlightened teachers and thinkers in our history. Through students like Plato, Socrates encouraged the pursuit of virtue through critical thinking and questioning. This system has affected all industries and fields of study and has inspired other great philosophers.

Annie Sullivan

Annie Sullivan is best known as being Helen Keller’s instructor. She coached her deaf and blind student by giving her obedience and social etiquette lessons, as well as teaching her Braille. Sullivan became well-known and respected for her teaching methods and for being able to help Keller progress well beyond her expected potential. Sullivan traveled with Keller to give lectures and was supported by Alexander Graham Bell and Andrew Carnegie. Sullivan was also recognized by Temple University and other educational institutes "for her tireless teaching and commitment to Helen Keller."

Pythagoras

Pythagoras, also known as "the father of numbers," was a Greek philosopher and mathematician who invented the Pythagorean theorem, which is still taught and used today. Though Pythagoras spent much of his life traveling and learning, he also became a teacher in India, where he is still known as "the Ionian teacher," or Yavanacharya. He later built an educational institute in Croatia to teach philosophy and basic "moral training."

Sir Isaac Newton

Sir Isaac Newton is credited with discovering the theory of gravity, but he was also a Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at Cambridge, appointed by Isaac Barrow. During this time, Newton made advances in his optical research.

I came to this profession by accident rather than by choice but I will never deny that I enjoyed the journey and tried my best to carry forward what my teachers have given to me. On the week of Saraswati puja I convey my regards to the teachers who once thought me in different course of my life. Looking forward to join you all at the other side of the world.

Nakoshi’s – The unwanted!

Apart from those are living in so-called high society, we Indian still love everything in a traditional way.  We are also vary proud about the rich tradition that we have but there are some shocking one too. One of such is discrimination towards girl child. It is an age old practice in India where people pray to the various Goddess but while going family way every one want a boy.  

Owing to a “tradition” that reflects gender bias, several parents in Satara (Maharashtra) have named their third or fourth daughter Nakoshi, in the hope that the next child will be a boy. They all got rid of the name ‘Nakoshi', which means unwanted in Marathi. However, in a region where gender bias only starts with the name, and the parents think of daughters as a burden, there is a possibility that the change will only be restricted to the renaming ritual, and not reflect in the actual change in mindset. In a bid to undo the damage, and spread awareness about protecting the girl child, the district administration organised a public event to rename and honour the girls.

The process to identify “Nakoshis” in the State was initiated by Ahmednagar-based activist Sudha Kankria who first noticed the trend in 2007.  In a recent ceremony all girls from Satara got rid of the name “Nakoshi” meaning unwanted in Marathi, and hopefully, the humiliation that came with it. 

Nakoshi Kirdat has a similar story to tell. She had her name changed to Neeta when she got married at 18. However, she remained “Nakoshi” on paper. “I was sent to school only till tenth class, as my parents didn't have money to educate me. But I always wanted to do something important, and gain respect. I have accepted the fact that my parents didn't want me when I was born, but I didn't want to give up on myself,” she states, with the faith that the new name will also give her a new identity. 

Discrimanation against girl child and women

About 500000 foetuses aborted every year only because they are female. Preference for the son in India is a well-documented phenomenon. Bias society neglect the girls and women resulting in their early death, female infanticide, and female foeticide.

Most Indian still maintain the ridiculous theory - “Raising a girl is like watering the neighbour’s garden” generally sums up the way girls in India are seen - as an economic burden on their parents.

The tragic tell of a mother shows how everyday scores of girls child killed andd al are of the records - "I lay on my bed weak after childbirth. My mother-in-law picked up the baby and started feeding her milk. I knew what she was doing. I cried and tried to stop her. But she had already given her milk laced with poisonous juice of the oleander plant. Within minutes, the baby turned blue and died".

Due to technological progress, techniques for preconceptual and prenatal sex determination become cheaper and more accurate; at the same time, the general income level rises. Thus, these methods become more and more affordable for the middle and lower class, providing people the opportunity to act according to their reproductive preferences.

The child sex ratio will gradually increase over the next decades; however, irreparable damage has already been done, not only to the countless girls who were deprived of their natural right of life, but also to society as a whole.

In 1992 Amartya Sen calculated that 37 million women were ‘missing’ in India . The UN in 2001 estimated that there were 44 million missing women in India.

Dramabaji’s and nautanki’s [dramatically and Operatic Dramas]

In India and as well as some of our Asian counterparts housing a good numbers of these breeds. I will write about some of our in house products. While staying in Mumbai, I was knowing a Gujrathi fellow, he was having a family with grown up children. Often he used to visit to the different Maidan’s in Mumbai, don’t get me wrong he was not visiting there on demand, I mean on nature call. He was having a well furnished house with all basic amenities. Of course men often find the road with full view is more  comfortable place then their own bathroom. Forgive me, I guess I am heading to the wrong direction, let me come back, yes that man often visited to the maidans for a day long hunger strike for different causes. His family itself was tired fed up him for his antiques. Nice way to get an instant fame. It was long time ago I don’t know what his current status.

Let me list a few darambajis of India who could have landed in bollywood and got all accolades.

** Sharad Power – With his twelve crore assets and an unfulfilled dream, everyone can guess it, the kursi I mean Prime Minister’s chair, a poor man indeed. At least, for a day PM should concede the chair  to him otherwise, the chair will be haunted forever. His dramas are very smooth and calculated because once he was known as a good administrator and equally a best CM Maharashtra ever had.

*** Sushma Swaraj – I wonder, why this lady never opened a dance class. With missing  waistline, the jig was not at all enjoyable in Rajghat but it left a few cracks over there and aftermath two earthquakes that followed. This slogan is only belongs to he- ‘Mera Bindi Mahan’. If she participate in  largest Bindi contest, she will be a clear winner.

*** Lalu Yadav – He sang in the Parliament ‘Sau sal pahle’, but Bihar wished he was not exists in Bihar even ‘hazar sal pahle’. Of course he gets a pat on his back from me for the railway job.

***½ Karunanidhi – Remeber his hunger strike? Better forget it, whoever he sent to Delhi, never failed return with a bagful gold, but pity have to come back to Delhi and then to Tihar.

**½ Mamta Banerjee – I grown fond of her in the time of Rajiv Gandhi and then things changed drastically, later irritated and felt sick whenever of her sight. She knew her mistakes from those different dramas and then gone through a make over. Let us wait and watch. In her hand the railways will be always  going to run in reverse gear.

**** Yeddyurappa – His side of drama has many shades. Story about his famous Surya Namaskar [sans cloths], his girl friend, laptop breaking session and various tiff with governor. Finally his all dramas ends up with a resignation and may be in future Tiharians going to get a free Surya Namaskar lesson from him.

****½ Mayawati – She is a pure drama queen material. She also considered to be a 365 days birthday girl. You can see her smiling ear-to-ear, whenever you uttered ‘Statue’.

****½ Ramdev –  I already spend some of my precious time and energy writing about him.  Looking at him sometime I wonder, which is the most profitable business where you don’t have invest a dim, your guess is, as well as mine – Sadhu ..... Sadhu.

*** Shankersinh Vaghela – One morning he shouted at Modi from his rooftop ‘my hunger strike is strongest’ and he too decided to sit for the same. Now, it is interesting if Modi promoted or demoted then who will be the Chief Minister of Gujarat.

**** Balashaheb Thakre – If my memory is not that short then all I can remember that not for once he left beyond Maharashtra. Roaring always from his well guarded house in Bandra. No wonder he choose upon a tiger as his party’s symbol. Whatever he wrote or told about any prominent women leaders, you better forget it because it is available in a slanguage dictionary, if you have one then please keep  away from the children. He has good company around, includes his nephew, sons etc. So that was a tiger story who only roar from his caves.

***** L.K Advani – Every time he opened his mouth I choke whatever was going in or coming out from my mouth, even my words that I was about to say. Rath Jatra after Rath Jatra, only for the same thing, arre yar that same PM post.  Why don’t he goes to Jaganath Puri and stay over there. All his life he able to maintain a five star status, kudos.

***** Narendra Modi – Whenever I see him I liked to tell the children in my house ‘Shhh! Sleep beta sleep, otherwise I will call NM’, strange its work like a magic. After consuming gallons of give me red substance, three days hunger strike is cake wake. A earthquake in several state when he took his first step towards Delhi, God, what will happened to the country if he become a Prime Minister. When he saw Anna Hazare’s hungur strike and the popularity, he too turned a Gnadhians.

Did you ever heard this Hindi idiom – ‘Sau Chuhe Khake Billi Chali Haj Ko’.

Point Blank!!

Strange world of human nature, as every souls are armed with a unique quality, it is very difficult  task to read through everyone mind. Exceptions are there, as some are like a crystal, we can read in out but in principal it is though job than studying complex Mathematics. Often we look at a person and can judge instantly but mostly are not so easy. Guessing a person whom we known for years are an impossible task.

My exploration with unknown places and unknown faces always gone down well, lucky soul indeed. Often we may sitting with a good looking fellow with a breathtaking smile face and a friendly approach, obviously we would jump to the conclusion by adopting a positive judgment about the person, but it could be a person like Anders Behring Breivik. Everyday we are moving with scores people, we never aware of the fact that a manic may be prowling around us  

London Riots

Recent London riots made me feel as I am watching one of the classic written by Charles Dickens, specially reminds me the every frame of Oliver Twist. Recent riots in London,  pulling down the curtain from concealed criminality that are brewing in European society.

It was long due, lately when David Cameron Government declared a three-fold increase in university tuition fees, raising them from £ 3,000 to £ 9,000, thus depriving low income families of the opportunity to send their kids to universities to get higher education. Growing unemployment and other social issues are the main cause for the riot. British Government spending billions on the war on terror, spending billions on troops that stationed in aboard and ignoring job-led economic growth.

It all started with killing a black man by police. Mark Duggan was suspected of being one of the founding members of  a Gang and has been depicted by the media as both an innocent father of four, murdered by  police. A bullet recovered from an attending police officers radio, initially supposed to have been fired by Duggan, was later found to be a police issue bullet, making the event stink of a cover-up.

The truth about Duggan’s lifestyle is in fact as yet unknown to the public, with conflicting stories from his relatives claiming he had only been involved in minor crime in the past and was trying desperately to live right and stay out of jail, and anonymous locals claiming he sold crack on street corners.

OSLO Bombing and Massacre

A lone political extremist, Anders Behring Breivik, bombed the government center here killing 7 people, then headed to an island summer camp for young members of the governing Labor Party and killing at least 80 people.

Anders Behring Breivik, a 32-year-old Norwegian national, claims to be a fan of Winston Churchill, classical music and gory movies like, "300," and "Gladiator,"

He also claims to be a fan of the sappy HBO vampire drama, "True Blood," and the serial killer show, "Dexter."

List of some Deadliest Campus Shootings

On April 16, 2007, on the campus of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Seung-Hui Cho, killed 32 people and wounded 25 others before committing suicide.

August 1, 1966, Charles Whitman points a rifle from the observation deck of the University of Texas at Austin's Tower and begins shooting in a homicidal rampage that goes on for 96 minutes. Sixteen people are killed, 31 wounded.

Gang Lu, a graduate student in physics from China, reportedly upset because he was passed over for an academic honour, Nov. 1, 1991, he opens fire in two buildings on the University of Iowa campus. Five University employees killed, including four members of the physics department, two other people are wounded. The student fatally shoots himself.

University of Arizona Nursing College student and Gulf War veteran Robert Flores, walks into an instructor's office on Oct. 28, 2002 and fatally shoots her and then. a few minutes later, armed with five guns, he enters one of his nursing classrooms and kills two more of his instructors before fatally shooting himself.

Douglas W. Pennington, in Sept. 2, 2006, he kills himself and his two sons, Logan P. Pennington and Benjamin M. Pennington during a visit to the campus of Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, West Va.

Peter Odighizuwa, a Graduate student , when dismissed from Virginia's Appalachian School of Law, on January 16, 2002, he returns to the campus and kills the dean, a professor and a student before being tackled by students. The attack also wounds three female students.

Frederick Martin Davidson a graduate engineering student at San Diego State, August 15, 1996, he was defending his thesis before a faculty committee when he pulls out a handgun and kills three professors.

Bottom Line :

The innocent and precious life succumb by the numerous terror attacks and the planted bomb by the mindless terrorist and it seems all prevention measures are falling flat.
